What is
Counseling?
Counseling is
the process of working through a disturbing, ongoing
problem that overwhelms a person's abilities and resources
to cope. For someone to come to counseling, the problem is
generally interfering with their relationships, their
enjoyment of life and/or their feelings of being
productive. An important part of counseling is establishing
a trusting relationship with a mental health professional
who can collaborate with a client to help him or her
resolve their struggles.
